Emily & Jeff’s wedding at the Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado is one we won’t soon forget. This couple was so trusting in the planning process, and we were overjoyed to help them plan their celebration! Emily & Jeff’s wedding was a beautiful fusion of their two cultures, and we incorporated special touches to acknowledge both family traditions.
We kicked off the weekend’s events with a special tea ceremony, which gave Emily and Jeff the opportunity to honor their family members who traveled to the gorgeous Rocky Mountains to celebrate them. After taking the gondola to the Aspen wedding deck, guests were handed a glass of champagne as they were seated at the wedding deck with full views of the sprawling Aspen mountain range.
After the ceremony, guests mingled in the beautiful (and newly renovated) Aspen Mountain Club. Our seating chart featured custom tea cups and a “tea bag” escort display for each guest – the combination of the Chinese tea ceremony and the groom’s English family history made this the perfect marriage of traditions.
Guests spent the evening dancing the night away underneath string lights and paper lanterns in the Sundeck, and enjoyed some of The Little Nell’s world famous hot chocolate as they rode the gondola through starlight on the way back to the city center.
