We love our destination weddings – not only because they take us to some amazing places around the world, but it allows for more time shared between our clients and their nearest and dearest. Frequently we plan events where the clients have the best of both worlds; an intimate rehearsal dinner followed by a welcome reception where they welcome all guests who traveled in for the weekend. This is the perfect way to still enjoy those precious moments like speeches from family and wedding party, while still being accommodating to the larger group.
For Emily & Jack’s wedding in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, we opted to host a rooftop rehearsal dinner at Il Fornaio, complete with displayed bites and signature cocktails, with views of the ocean and town below. Guests dined in the main dining room in the glow of candlelight, before being led in a “second line” via a bagpipe player to Hog’s Breath, where they joined other guests for a cocktail welcome reception.
We absolutely love seeing our clients happy, and this brief snapshot into Emily & Jack’s rehearsal dinner shows you just how lovely this event was.
As always, a sincere thank you to our vendor partners:
