Victoria & Patrick’s wedding in Cabo, Mexico was one of our favorite destination weddings to date! When Victoria and Patrick approached us about planning their wedding in Mexico, we knew we had just the place for them. A location that infuses all of the best sights and smells from local culture while upholding all of the excellence and luxury that guests expect when embarking on a vacation.
We had an extremely fun and full weekend of events for Victoria & Patrick’s wedding. Night one focused on the groom and his family’s Nigerian heritage; infusing the space with touches or ruby red, terracotta, tangerine and vibrant yellow. We incorporated African prints on paper goods used at each place setting, and sourced handmade giraffe napkin rings from local African artisans. All guests wore traditional Nigerian attire (except for those dressed in white) and we featured a private fire show for Victoria and Patrick’s guests down on the beach.
For the wedding day, we focused on a modern minimalist palette with dramatic touches of ebony and sand, and wanted everything to feel sleek and neutral. Our goal was to highlight the natural surroundings of sea, salt and sky by way of modern clean lines and neutral tones. We brought in a canopy of string lights and lanterns to create a sense of intimacy within the space, and to set the backdrop of a “starry night sky” while guests danced the night away. Cabo Wedding Co. sourced the lanterns from local vendors and gave them a custom paint job to match the aesthetic of our event.
